You must hold a current and valid boat licence before being able to get a Jetski licence. We offer both boat and jetski licences on the same day.

Jetski licence courses

To obtain a Jetski licence you need to:Needalicense-6

  •  successfully complete a 2 hour BoatSafe training course. With needalicence.com.au these courses can be arranged after work and on weekends to suit your schedule.
  • complete the Medical Fitness Disclosure Statement (PDF, 25.6 KB) and present it to the BoatSafe training provider at enrolment for the BoatSafe course.
  • on successful completion of the BoatSafe training course, present the statement of competency, a completed licence application form (PDF, 66.8 KB), the licence application fee and acceptable evidence of identity in person at a Department of Transport customer service centre. The Ride Smart factsheet contains information to assist you to prepare for the personal watercraft licence training and assessment.  See the Ridesmart – Personal Watercraft Factsheet.
